improvement
i'm not sure if it's the better resting, the better weather, the better training hints, or the better mixed drinks the night before, but my three most recent rides have been big improvements over all previous rides -- i've finished faster and fresher on these three rides than i'm used to.
key to my improvement is staying aerobic -- focusing on keeping my HR low and my cadence high. while my meter was working today, i tried to keep the cadence above 90. i tried to keep it above 80 on the weekend. both times, i tried to keep my HR beneath 150, 160 being the comfort threshold, and both times by relaxing more i finished in less time than usual.
