5-tie? as in 5-by-5?
Hi, this is your friendly internet fairy, here.
I heard that someone didn't understand how the internet works, so I stopped by to explain.
See, there's this thing on the internet called the World Wide Web. (I'm not just an airheaded internet fairy, so I know that the WWW and the internet are not interchangeable, and to establish my WebCred, I have therefore stated such.)
On the World Wide Web (let's call it the WWW!), there are things called "links". Sometimes, when you read something, if the something has a term that you may not understand, the author, if he's thoughtful, will provide a "link" to further, explanatory information.
Example: the above article has a "link" to another article that quite thoroughly explains the significance of the "5"s on the tie.
