against the grain

tried something new today with the safety-razor: shaved against the grain. lathered up, shaved normally, then re-lathered and went the other way.

if i'd tried that with my mach3 i'd be in major pain right now.

as it is, i'm in minor irritation and have a mighty close shave (with a couple embarassing missed patches, heh).
